The designation “MN05,” refers to Manhattan Community District 5, the area between 14th and 59th Streets, roughly concluding Midtown, the center of New York City. In this urban opus, the vertical labyrinth, I find myself not merely an observer but a living, breathing note. My existence intertwines with the city's architectural landscape.
This thesis explores the potential of spatial senses and wearable technology to create personal, augmented experiences through a fashion collection. By translating research on physical, spatial, and emotional data into wearable designs, this project aims to extend human perception and interaction with the built environment. The collection will incorporate shapes, structures, and textures inspired by the human body and its sensory interactions with urban spaces.
